Frontlink
Frontlink is a free daily tactics game in the spirit of Advance Wars, shrunk to a few minutes. You command three units on a seven by six map and have six days to destroy the enemy or hold their base. The map is the same for everyone and changes at midnight, with a different twist each weekday.
Loading today's battlefield.
Keyboard: arrow keys move over the board, Enter selects your unit and then a tile, Escape goes back. Each unit acts once a day. Artillery cannot move and fire in the same turn.

How it works
You have three units and six days. Each day, every unit can move and then act once: attack, wait, or capture. When you end the day, each enemy unit acts once by fixed rules. The enemy base is in the top right and yours is bottom left. A new map arrives at midnight, and each weekday changes the armies or the terrain.
Questions
How do I win Frontlink?
Destroy every enemy unit, or end a day with your infantry on the enemy base and still alive after the enemy has moved. You lose if all your units die, the enemy infantry holds your base through your next day, or the sixth day ends without a win.
What do the units do?
Infantry moves 3 and can capture the base. A tank moves 4 and hits hard up close. Artillery moves 2 and fires at range 2 to 3, but not on a day it moved. Forest costs 2 to enter and gives one cover star, a mountain costs 3 for infantry only and gives two, and water blocks every unit.
How is damage worked out?
Damage is the base value for that matchup, times the attacker's health out of 10, reduced by 10 percent for each cover star the defender has, scaled by the defender's health. A surviving defender hits back with its remaining health, but only from inside its own range. Artillery never answers an attack from the tile beside it. The game shows the expected damage and counterattack before you confirm.
Is there any luck?
No. The map comes from the date, the enemy follows fixed rules, and the same moves always give the same result. Everyone plays the same battle on the same day.
What does the share result show?
One square per day you played: a filled square if you destroyed an enemy unit that day, a dotted square if you only damaged one, and an empty square otherwise. The share link shows the result as a picture.
Tips for Frontlink
- Forest and mountain cut the damage a unit takes, so fight from cover and let the enemy come to you.
- Artillery never answers an attacker standing next to it, so keep infantry or a tank in front of it.
- The enemy is predictable. Each unit goes for the target it can hurt most, so you can bait it onto open ground.
- An infantry on the enemy base for a full turn wins the game, so a quiet flank can beat a head-on fight.
