Is Vitae really free?

Yes. Vitae is free to download and use with no trial period, no subscription, and no feature gates. If you find it useful, a tip via Buy Me a Coffee is appreciated but never required.

Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?

Distributing outside the App Store lets me ship faster and avoid App Store restrictions. The DMG is Apple-notarized, so macOS Gatekeeper verifies it is safe to run — just open the DMG, drag Vitae to Applications, and launch it.

What macOS version is required?

Vitae requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your Mac using SwiftData. Nothing is sent to any server. iCloud sync is supported in the schema and can be enabled in future versions.

How do I install it?

Download the DMG, open it, drag Vitae into your Applications folder, and launch it. Because it is notarized by Apple, you will not see a Gatekeeper warning.
