How to reach Ben
Email ben@purplelink.llc. Purplelink is a one-person studio, so the person who answers is the person who wrote the code. There is no ticket system and no account to sign in to.
What to include
- The product: ModernTex, Paper Review or one of the other manuscript checks, Vitae, a kit or a spreadsheet.
- The email address you used at checkout, so the order can be found.
- What happened: what you did, what you expected, and what you saw instead. For ModernTex, the macOS version and the version shown in the About window help; for a compile problem, the .tex file or a small excerpt that reproduces it.
Refunds
Not useful? Email ben@purplelink.llc within 14 days of purchase and it is refunded. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe and take 5 to 10 days to appear on your statement.
Lost ModernTex key or Paper Review purchase
Use Find a purchase. Enter the address you paid with, and your ModernTex license key, Paper Review links or pack tokens are emailed to it again. Any key you had before keeps working.
ModernTex update notes
Every ModernTex release is listed on the changelog. The app checks for a new version once a day and offers to install it in place; Check for Updates in the ModernTex menu does the same on demand.
Data handling
The privacy policy states what each product does with your files. The page for labs covers the same for Paper Review in the form a purchasing or research office usually asks for, alongside invoices and volume packs.
