Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon

A two-kilometre canyon with mossy walls up to 100 metres high, cut by the Fjaðrá river. A path runs along the rim with several viewpoints over the river below.

The canyon is about two kilometres long and up to 100 metres deep, cut through palagonite rock.
