About this tool

This runs pandoc --standalone to produce a complete, compilable .tex file from your Word document. The output is a starting point - standard elements (headings, bold, italic, lists, tables) convert well, but complex Word formatting, field codes, and macros may need manual attention.

What converts well?
Headings, paragraph text, bold, italic, unordered and numbered lists, basic tables, and footnotes. The output includes a standard LaTeX preamble with common packages.
What may need cleanup?
Multi-column layouts, text boxes, Word styles with no LaTeX equivalent, embedded objects, and cross-references (which become plain text). Equations are preserved as best Pandoc can manage.
Are my files stored?
No. Your file is converted in an ephemeral container and discarded immediately.
