Live Funding Feed
Funding calls on your topics, in a spreadsheet that keeps itself current: every open and forecasted federal opportunity from grants.gov with its close date and days left, beside the NSF awards and NIH projects recently funded in the same areas, so you can see who is getting money for what.
How it works
- Start the free trial and enter up to five topics, for example: phishing, large language models, misinformation.
- Copy the three formulas from your setup page into a Google Sheet, or the links into Excel's From Web.
- Sort by close date. New calls appear as agencies post them; change your topics any time from the same page.
What the sheet holds
Opportunities
Every posted or forecasted grants.gov opportunity matching a topic: close date, days left, title, agency, opportunity number, status, date posted, which of your topics matched, and whether it matched the title or only the full text. Title matches come first. Multi-word topics match as exact phrases.
NSF awards
NSF awards on your topics from the last eighteen months: start date, title, PI, institution, amount, program and end date.
NIH projects
NIH projects funded this fiscal year and last whose title or abstract uses your topics, title matches first: PI, organization, award amount, institute and activity code.
Where the data comes from
grants.gov (all federal agencies, including NSF, NIH, DOD, DOE and USDA), NSF Award Search and NIH RePORTER, all public. Foundation and industry funding is not included.
Excel or Google Sheets
In Google Sheets each tab is one IMPORTDATA formula, which Google refreshes about once an hour. In Excel, use Data, From Web with the same link and set it to refresh when the file opens. The data behind each link updates every six hours.
What we store
Your Stripe subscription id, the settings you enter, and the private key in your feed links. No spreadsheet, no email address in the feed, and nothing about who views it. The key only unlocks public data, but keep it to yourself like any link you paid for.
