Live Citation Dashboard
Your publication record in a spreadsheet that updates itself: every work with its citations this year and last, your h-index and citations by year, who you write with and where you publish. Built for annual reviews, CV updates and grant biosketches, where you need the numbers in a table you can sort, not a profile page.
How it works
- Start the free trial and enter your ORCID iD (or your OpenAlex author id). We confirm the name before saving.
- Copy the four formulas from your setup page into four tabs of a Google Sheet, or the four links into Excel's From Web.
- That's it. New papers and citations appear as OpenAlex indexes them. Change the author any time from the same page.
What the sheet holds
Works
Year, title, venue, type, total citations, citations last year and this year, number of authors, your author position, open-access status, DOI and link.
Summary
Works, citations, h-index, i10-index, two-year mean citedness and last known institution, then works and citations for each year.
Coauthors
Everyone you have published with: joint works, most recent year together, citations of your joint work and their institution on that work.
Venues
Each journal, conference or repository you publish in, with works, citations and the most recent year.
Where the data comes from
OpenAlex, the open index of scholarly works (CC0), matched by ORCID iD. Its citation counts are usually lower than Google Scholar's, because it indexes fewer non-journal sources, and they are the same numbers a reviewer can check.
Excel or Google Sheets
In Google Sheets each tab is one IMPORTDATA formula, which Google refreshes about once an hour. In Excel, use Data, From Web with the same link and set it to refresh when the file opens. The data behind each link updates every six hours.
What we store
Your Stripe subscription id, the settings you enter, and the private key in your feed links. No spreadsheet, no email address in the feed, and nothing about who views it. The key only unlocks public data, but keep it to yourself like any link you paid for.
